Day in the Life of Using Digital Media

Social media is so ingrained in our everyday lives that it is hard to think about what is done  every day,  as  it’s  a habit.      The social media I tend to use  most  day - to - day is Facebook. I pop on to see what notifications I have. If I have time, I scroll and save posts from cousins to add to the newsletter for weddings, births, etc.     Facebook is  a great way  to gather friends and family together to let them know at one time what is going on in your life, or share memes with them.  I started a Facebook group for my Shockey cousins and have now extended it to researchers of the Shockey surname and  its  variants.      If I am on a trip, I tend to use Instagram more to post images of what  I’ve  seen or been to, which cross-posts to my Facebook page.  Instagram is  a great place  to  showcase  images of all  kinds,  whether  it...
